Connect Claude or Another AI App with MCP
The MCP connection lets a supported AI client discover the Red Bricks OS tools allowed by your personal key.
Where to find it: Admin → Help → MCP Setup or Settings → AI Connections
What to do
- Open MCP Setup and choose the client instructions that match your app.
- Create a personal key with the minimum required scopes.
- Add the server address and credential using the client’s secure connection settings.
- Reconnect or refresh tools in the client.
- Test with a read-only request before allowing a change.
Good to know
- Updating Red Bricks OS MCP does not automatically update every client; a client may need to reconnect or adopt the newer protocol version.
- Destructive or external actions can require an explicit preview and confirmation.
